Camp's Purpose
Troy Ward's Hockey and Daughters skills camp

PURPOSE OF THE CAMP......

Hockey and Daughters is a hockey camp designed to allow a parent and child to spend quality time together while enjoying and learning about the game of hockey.  At Hockey and Daughters, parent and child will skate, attend lectures, and participate in dry-land exercises together while living in a campus setting.  The camp will help educate parent and child about the fundamentals of the game and allow them to hear about and share life's lessons with professionals involved in the game.  Most importantly, the camp will enable parent and child to share each other's company in a unique and challenging setting.

This camp is held on the campus of Shattuck-St. Mary's school.  The area boasts an expansive wooded campus and a complete athletic complex, including a hockey arena, outdoor roller/sneaker hockey area, six tennis courts, gymnasium, basketball courts, an all-weather track, a newly remodeled weight facility, and an 18-hole public golf course.

Housing is provided on campus in dormitories.  Dorm rooms are spacious and semiprivate to accommodate two or three participants.  the buildings also include common areas for evening recreation and movie viewing.  The campus maintains its own private security patrol 24 hours a day.

Meals are planned and prepared by Shattuck-St.Mary's full-time chefs and dietitians.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style in a historic dining room.

TESTIMONIAL:

Thank you for such an amazing hockey experience for both myself and my daughter, Tala.  The staff and coaching was fantastic.  We both learned a lot and improved our skills and knowledge of the game but most importantly we got to share our love of each other and hockey in an environment that fostered the ethics of hard work and mutual respect.  The game of hockey can transcend many of lifes lessons and I truly appreciate the efforts an details your program provided.  We had a blast and can't wait to participate again next summer!!     - NANCY and TALA GLASS
